What to expect when having your new Gasway boiler fitted

Gasway is fully committed to safeguarding the health, safety and security of our customers, colleagues, our supply chain partners and the people in the communities in which we work.

We continue to follow all government guidance and are Covid-19 secure.

Please see detailed below what you can expect from a Gasway staff member when attending your home, and how you can help them maintain safety measures.

In line with official advice, our engineers aren't wearing respirator masks. We will take extra precautions, including wearing a respirator mask and cover-all suit if you've told us that anyone in the property has Covid-19 symptoms.

Our engineers will wear a face covering. Face coverings will be worn at all times except when they are undertaking work in a specific ventilated room where the householder is not present.

Engineers will wash or sanitise their hands before entering your home, and at regular intervals. They will wear disposable or protective gloves as appropriate during the job.

If a job requires two engineers, they'll only come together for tasks that need two pairs of hands and take extra precautions when they are not able to keep 2m apart.

In order to minimise contact with surfaces we will not move your personal items. We would politely request that your belongings are moved prior to the commencement of works. We will discuss with you any areas that need to be clear, typical items include:

  • Beds,
  • Sideboards,
  • Wardrobes,
  • Ornaments
  • Kitchen Items
  • Bathroom Products.

We will use plastic floor protectors or shoe covers to protect carpets and reduce the chance of transferring bacteria from house to house. All work areas will be cleaned with disinfectant wipes at the end of each day.

In a further step to limit contact, unfortunately we will be unable to accept refreshments offered and our engineer will leave your home for breaks.

At the end of the work we will explain any operating instructions and hand over required paperwork. Whilst doing this we will maintain a 2m social distancing gap, limit face to face contact as much as reasonably possible and leave all the paperwork with any new appliances. We will not ask you to sign any paperwork or electronic devices.

If at any time during the works you have a concern please speak to us and we will happily resolve any issues.

You can contact us 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
